Changes are needed, only a fool would deny that.
We really need to discuss how to approach this.
In my opinion, we should move on from ET. It is a hell of a lot of time investment without any gain. It's not a dead game, as stated above, but it isn't one that is really attracting new players, meaning the playerbase is rather stale.
Now, everyone, remove the toxicity from your posts and lets be rational.
I share the same opinion.
Basalisk hit some points hard and well. As well as BG isn't dead... yet. It's still possible to turn the tide in this BG issue, but it's not going to solve our problem.
It's also time someone else takes the matter into their own hands. But I definitely do not mean Oldfart.
, most of the members and administrators showed no interest in spending time or effort on BG. But it was the DDOSes who did most of the work, not only in ET but also MW3 and Rust. All of them lost the activity.
I'm not saying it was thanks to those DDOSes that our BG server is inactive, I'm simply saying that it was a key factor. We still hold the responsibility to keep BG active.
Besides, times change. People grow up. We need to adapt, so stop dwelling in the past.
If our BG ain't working, and we have no people interested in keeping it up, we have to find something else.
Personally, I didn't lose that much interest in ET. But its not a game that I'd be wasting time on at the moment, and if I would it would be playing scrims, those are always fun for me
I'm sure there's a couple of people who still want BG up and running.
One last reminder. I'm sure this is being amusing to some, but now is not a pretty good time to be radical. So let's put our mindset together and solve a problem at a time.
Let Oldfart transmit his offer and end this already.
